Bishops Cleeve FC

Formed in 1905, Bishop's Cleeve Football Club has a rich history of success. They dominated the Cheltenham League, winning Division Two twice (1924–25, 1930–31) and then securing the Division One title in 1931–32 and 1934–35. Their triumphs continued after World War II, with another Division Two win in 1958–59, followed by back-to-back Division One championships in 1961–62, 1963–64, 1965–66, and 1966–67. This sustained excellence propelled them into the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League, where they immediately won Division Two and then achieved further back-to-back Division One titles in 1968–69 and 1969–70, adding a third Division One title in 1972–73.

The club's ascent continued in 1983 as they joined the Hellenic League Division One, clinching the title in 1986–87 and earning promotion to the Premier Division. They also won the Premier Division Cup in 1987–88. Following league restructuring, they were placed in Division One West in 2000 and achieved promotion back to the Premier Division as runners-up in 2000–01. A significant achievement came in 2005–06 when they finished as Premier Division runners-up, leading to promotion to the Southern League Division One Midlands. More recently, Bishop's Cleeve demonstrated their enduring quality by winning the Hellenic League title in 2021–22, securing their return to Division One South of the Southern League.
