This marks the 13th edition of the Victorian State Knockout Cup, with Nike continuing its unwavering support for women’s football as naming rights partner since 2019.
The reigning NPLW champions go head-to-head for supremacy, with the 2025 Nike FC Cup Final set for August 10 at The Home of The Matildas.
South Melbourne is aiming to lift their first-ever Nike FC Cup and add a new piece of silverware to their historic trophy cabinet. Led by Francesca Iermano, South return to the venue where they won the 2023 NPLW Championship. They booked their place in the Final after a tense 3-2 comeback win over 2024 winners FC Bulleen Lions.
Heidelberg United are in top form, sitting first on the NPLW table and well-positioned to claim the Premiership. On August 10, they’ll look to add another knockout title to their name, having last won the Cup in 2016.
The Bergers powered into the Final with back-to-back 7-0 wins in the quarter and semi-finals, most recently against VPLW side Bundoora United. They return to The Home of The Matildas, where they claimed the 2024 NPLW Championship in a thrilling clash with Preston Lions.
The last time these two sides met, Heidelberg edged South 1-0 at Lakeside Stadium on July 5.
