What to expect

Gates will open at 3:00 PM. The cafe will be open for coffee and light snacks, and Grillin' Greeks will be serving up meals from the canteen. Both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available at the venue.

Getting to the event

The carpark adjacent to The Home of the Matildas is shared with other La Trobe University Sports Park users.

On the day, you may need to utilise the parking at Carpark 2A and Carpark 2. Please allow plenty of time in case you need to park at a distance.

History

Ten years on from the inaugural NPLW season, the competition reaches another defining moment. 

From Calder United lifting the first Championship in 2016 to the rise of some of Victorian football’s biggest clubs and players, the NPLW has continued to grow and evolve over the past decade.

Now, the 2026 Senol NPLW Victoria Grand Final will bring another chapter of the competition’s history to a close with a new Champion to be crowned.

Box Hill United FC

Box Hill are chasing back-to-back Championships after claiming their first NPLW title in 2025.

That triumph took their tally to 10 state-level Championships overall, level with Greensborough for the most in Victorian women’s football history.

After claiming the Championship last year, Box Hill United have only gone from strength to strength, adding the 2026 Premiership in another dominant season.

The reigning Champions have once again set the benchmark and now have the chance to complete the double and continue their run of dominance.

Avondale FC

The Avengers are full of star power and could prove be the biggest dark horse of the whole competition.

In their first season in the league, they are now just one game away from making history as the first team to win the NPL Championship in their debut season.

They have the firepower and quality to match any side in the competition, and with nothing to lose, they could be a dangerous prospect come Grand Final day at The Home of The Matildas.
