Take your game to the next level these school holidays at the Western Port X Phoenix Development Camp, a high-quality basketball experience designed for intermediate players aged 9-16 who are ready to refine their skills and be challenged.

 

Details:

• Time: 10am - 1pm (Please arrive before 10am to be checked off, with pick up at 1pm)

• Date: Thursday, 1 October 2026

• Location: Somerville Recreation Centre (14 Edward St, Somerville VIC 3912)

• Ages: 9-16

• Cost: $60

• What to bring: Your own ball (as we will not provide them), water bottle, lunch / snacks

*Price varies depending on whether you have an applicable discount voucher, or you are part of the Phoenix Academy 

 

The Western Port X Phoenix Development Camp is built for young players who already have a foundation in basketball and want to improve their performance in real game situations.

Led by experienced coaches, this camp focuses on skill development, decision-making, and game understanding in a structured and engaging environment.

 

 What Players Will Work On

• Shooting technique and consistency

• Ball handling under pressure

• Game awareness and decision-making

• Defensive positioning and intensity

• Passing, spacing, and teamwork

Players will take part in focused skill sessions, small group coaching, and game-based scenarios to help translate training into match performance.

While Phoenix players love attending camps and helping kids level up on court, their heavy training and playing schedule sometimes inhibits them from doing so. We will make every endeavour to have players at camps when available, but please note that player attendance is not guaranteed unless clearly stated.
